the label is just useless and not its own orientation. a preference, sure, but not a (necessary) label, especially when you consider that a huge amount of relationships and romances (hetero/gay/asexual) are built on this concept
its like saying “i can only pee if i am on a toilet. this is called PISSINGNO” by and large people are going to look at you funny or just say “isnt that what people do by default ANYWAY?” and you can argue tooth and nail that no, the desire to pee only when a toilet is present is different, this is what PISSINO’s do,but i mean, it just seems strange to deconstruct and complicate a thing that is already an established “norm” anyway, and create a distance from others purely on the basis that the label resonates with your desire to—for a lack of a better way to put it—sound exotic
everyone has a desire to find their identity that separates themselves from others and makes themselves unique, special, or interesting. everyone does. but shoving as many labels and identities on you as humanly possible in an effort to make up for a perceived lack of ambition or personality within yourself both wont make you happy, and won’t help you find the core of yourself any faster.
